Find a great guitar teacher.

I'm Mike Middleton. I teach guitar in on the south side of Indianapolis, about a mile north of Greenwood, Indiana. I've been teaching guitar professionally since 1998 and playing professionally since 1989. I've taught hundreds and hundreds of students how to play guitar. My goal is always to put as much value as I possibly can into each of my lessons. I've spent years refining my guitar teaching skills.

I'm great at explaining information and making sure my students learn that information. Everyone learns differently and the responsibility for the student to learn lies entirely with the teacher and not with the student.

Many skilled guitarists can teach, but they may not have the experience that is required to teach students easily, quickly and effectively. They may leave many important things out when teaching the students.

I've taken students from other teachers to find that after 6 months to a year of lessons, they still have not learned all the notes on the neck. After 5 minutes with me I teach them how to name every note of the fretboard and to take the first steps to fretboard mastery.

If selecting another teacher, make sure they have a lot of teaching experience, if they are a new teacher, make sure they give you a competitive rate.
